I was born in the ancient borough port and market town of Maldon Essex, and have drawn inspiration from my early years spent living and working close to the jagged, splendor of England's beautiful Cornish coast.
The relationship between Cornwall and the sea is inextricably linked both in its landscape and culture, which you can see is evident in my work.
My detailed seascapes and sunsets have also taken inspiration from my personal affection for the Maldives and Cyprus. The canvases I produce are mainly in oil, although I have more recently begun experimentation with water colours.
I am a vocational artist, who tries to make my work exude quality of intense drama; the crashing seas are almost audible and a hint of salty sea air presents itself as your mind is deceived by my work.
In some of my other pieces the moods are softened, bringing the spectacle of sublime majesty in a blazing sun quenching itself in a subdued sea at day's end.
My work is currently available in several prestigious galleries, and is also distributed in limited edition prints of 195.
